Progesterone for Men 30ml :: 1 (ONE) Pumper for $29
What are the benefits of applying natural progesterone cream? Progesterone can help to reduce the size of the prostate by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. 5-alpha-reductase is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a more potent derivative of testosterone, which is linked to prostate cancer. As progesterone levels decline, the conversion of testosterone to DHT increases. As dihydrotestosterone is not as potent an inhibitor (as testosterone) of 5-alpha-reductase, the increased conversion of DHT couple with exposure to estrogen sets the stage for the development of cancer. Progesterone is necessary to balance the proliferative effects that estrogen has on prostate cells, reducing the likelihood cancer will develop.
Progesterone is crucial to sustaining good health in men. It is an essential component in the formation of testosterone and other adrenal cortical hormones. NOTE: During a visit to our pharmacy in 2002, Dr. John R. Lee discussed this topic with me. He strongly suggested that progesterone be added to testosterone prescriptions for men. He said he thought 5mg a day, topically, would be enough to impede 5-alpha-reductase and inhibit formation of DHT.

Synthetic vs. Natural Progesterone:
Differentiating between the common distinctions of natural and synthetic can be confusing when it comes to hormones. Many hormones on the market (Premarin, Birth Control Pills, and so on) contain hormone-like substances that don’t appear anyplace naturally. Some people refer to those drugs as Frankenstein hormones.
Our progesterone cream contains Progesterone, USP, which is bioidentical to human progesterone. It is made in a laboratory, beginning with plant oils. We do not use progesterone derived from soy. The most common source of our progesterone is wild yam. Because it is manufactured in a laboratory some people might consider it to be synthetic. However, it is chemically identical to the progesterone made in the human body (not horses). In that respect it’s natural.
